thee vestments - brute white and black - nicholas kalinoski.jpg

Brute

Mirrored geometric patterns evoking the ordered portals in brutalist architecture with appliqued patches (serving as graffiti on the building facades) depicting somewhat more chaotic characters who are just as brutal.

These two themes set against one another contrast a utopian order offered through efficiency and the efficient dismantling of that utopia by those entrusted for its maintenance.

With the weight of a distant memory, ‘Brute’ vestment has a printed silk twill face and a piece dyed Belgian linen lining that forms the 25 cm long hand pulled fringe on either end.

Each colourway comes in a numbered edition of 15.
